We hope you will like the changes you may hear happening in progress on Wilderness Radio. Depending on how much time you spend listening, you will hear some of these changes eventually. And really not even changes, but additions for the better. At least we think so!
We will be adding some Positive Bluegrass and Country to our music lineup over the next several days. These songs will be songs about life in a positive, real light.
We are still 98% spreading the gospel with music, but part of the gospel is that we live IN this world but are not OF it. These positive songs will feature life’s hopeful, better side of living.
Listen for great music from Karen Lynne of Australia, an excellent artist from the land down under. Also Bob Corley is now in our rotation, bringing the Cowboy way to the air waves of Wilderness Radio. After all…
THIS…IS… GOD’S COUNTRY!
New life has sprung and Wilderness Radio will be returning to streaming full time by the first of next year. We have a nifty nedw player and are working on an app for your phones.
We are redeveloping our programming and are so thrilled that we will be able to bring you the best in Bluegrass, Country and CCM across the world, spreading the gospel of peace to all nations!
Well the music has died on Wilderness Radio. I have been trying to find a solution, but the ones I have looked for, are just not good. The only way to continue music on Wilderness Radio is to pay the royalty fee which was instituted by Sound Exchange recently. Which is $500 to begin and could equate to $1,000s depending on listeners because it is based on the number of listeners. Listen I understand wanted to get paid royalties for a song, but the nature of Wilderness Radio is religious non-profit and I refuse to file 501(3)c to conform to the government laws of control against such religious organizations.
I receive on occasion a donation, but have never received enough to outright pay for everything: royalties, hosting, server, etc for the website and promotions. (Upwards of $2400/year, even more now with the royalty hike!) Most of that has come out of my pocket in the past, a pocket that is drained dry.
I am sorry I can no longer continue, tho we were reaching hostile, restricted countries where the gospel is not welcome. I don’t know. The children are sottish and they perish for lack of knowledge. No more Wilderness Radio unfortunately, have a nice life.
So Wilderness Radio will not longer be on the air in any capacity. Thank you for listening for 10 years. God Bless
Wilderness Radio has been on the air for almost seven years! We have had ups and downs but the Lord always sees us through.
Recently, we had to stop broadcasting because it was the right thing to do. Royalties for music can get pretty high, and the expenses climbed while support dwindled.
We stopped for a time. But now we are back. This time you will hear music on occasion, but our goal is to bring teaching and preaching to you that will help build a firm foundation in the Lord for the new Christian, while building up those who are battle hardened and need to hear the Truth!
So here we are, here to stay, at least until certain removes our ability to do so. But until that day we will preach the Gospel, in season, out of season. Some programming may not be exactly how we believe, but we will present it and let you discern through the Holy Spirit what is right.
We are in the process of adding and arranging programming. So please bear with us as we complete this and bring the gospel. Please contact us if you have suggestions.
Thank you very much and Father God Bless!
We are glad to add The Shepherd’s Chapel to our line of Bible teaching programs. The SCN has been going strong for many years, teaching chapter by chapter and verse by verse just like we like it here at Wilderness Radio and Wilderness Ministries.
The Shepherd’s Chapel program will air Monday through Friday at 2pm and at midnight Tuesday-Saturday. For more information check out our Programming and Schedule pages.
We know you will learn something from the teaching of Arnold and Dennis Murray.
