How it all began…
The inspiration of Wilderness Radio was born in October 2009. The Lord revealed himself to Carl Towns and showed him how the internet is the wilderness of today. Wilderness Radio was to be the voice of one crying in the wilderness, preparing the way of the Lord and making His paths straight for the return of the King! Repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand!
So Carl, a singer, songwriter and musician began in prayerful consideration the work in setting up the radio station to broadcast Gospel Music 24/7 to those wandering on the internet. Being raised up in Bluegrass and Country Gospel, Carl decided to go with that and so Wilderness Radio was born. “This is God’s Country!” is a twist on the old saying  and is a reflection of our station’s main genre, playing the finest in Country and Bluegrass Gospel.

Our Mission:
Our mission is two-fold, yet simple:
1.) To be a voice and a light in the wilderness of the internet to those who are lost.
2.) To edify those who have already been found. These are both accomplished through our music and information programming.

We provide our music on streams which are decent quality(at 64kbps)  to reach more people. Our main goal is to share the love of Jesus Christ with everyone. We are all sinners, falling short of the glory of God and need His love to fill the hole within that was caused by disobedience to God. If you are a wanderer, looking for that fulfillment, answer the question: Are you and Wanderer?

We are an outreach ministry and are fully funded by our partners and sponsors. If you would like to contribute please Contact Us or use the donate buttons n this site.
